Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame inductees The O'Jays had their fist hit in 1963 with "Lonely Drifter" and in 1972 scored with their first million-seller, "Back Stabbers", from the gold album of the same name. This album produced several more hit singles, including "992 Arguments", "Sunshine", "Time To Get Down" and the #1 Pop smash, "Love Train". Other chart-topping hits include "Put Your Hands Together" (Pop #10), "For the Love of Money" (Pop #9), "Give the People What They Want", "Let Me Make Love To You", "I Love Music" (Pop #5), "Livin` for the Weekend", "Message in Our Music" and "Darlin` Darlin` Baby (Sweet Tender Love)".

The Philadelphia soul singing group The Delfonics hit big in the late 1960s and early 1970s with hits such as "La-La (Means I Love You)", "Didn`t I (Blow Your Mind This Time)," "Break Your Promise," "I`m Sorry," and "Ready or Not Here I Come (Can`t Hide from Love)."
Also joining the bill is soul singer Jerry Butler, nick named "The Iceman," who was nominated for three Grammy's for his 1968 release The Iceman Cometh and had Top 10 hits with "He Will Break Your Heart", "Find Another Girl" and "I`m A-Telling You," Harold Melvin's Bluenotes whose hits include their 1972 breakout single "If You Don`t Know Me By Now," "I Miss You" (1972) and "Don`t Leave Me This Way" (1975), Detroit's The Jones Girls who hit the Top 40 in 1979 with "You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else," The Intruders, whose chart topping "Cowboys to Girls" helped launch the Philadelphia International label, and Eddie Holman whose 1970 hit "Hey There Lonely Girl" is still one of the most well known soul hits of the 70s.
