Cakes and Crepes

The shop specializes in wedding, birthday and custom cakes. But the delicious menu includes dessert crepes ($2.65) with fresh fruit and fresh sauces. Choose from strawberry, mango, peach, kiwi, pear and brown sugar for crepe flavors. Sauces are 50 cents extra and vary from orange and strawberry to caramel. I chose a strawberry mango mix with a strawberry sauce, which was sweet and filling. Other treats include cold and hot espresso drinks as well as gelato, brownies, chocolate-covered strawberries and blueberry scones. The wall-sized windows of Cakes and Crepes frame the amusement park and the monumental building that formerly housed the Crystal Factory.(Laila Derakhshanian)
