With a career spanning four decades and more than 30 albums, the legendary Gilberto Gil introduced the late 1960s tropicália movement. A singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, he fused bossa nova, samba and salsa with rock and folk music, becoming a world music pioneer.
