Chronic Cantina

Keith Scheineberg, a real estate developer, and Dan Biello started this 4,500-square-foot joint on the top floor of Triangle Square to expand the menu of Chronic Tacos, a favorite neighborhood taco joint in Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and San Clemente. The restaurant, which opened Aug. 18, offers a variety of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tostada salad bowls and a full bar. Biello and Scheineberg wanted to offer an"upscale, "sit-down Chronic Taco dining experience. You get a lot of food for your buck here. About two-thirds of the restaurant is an outdoor patio where you can eat and drink while puffing on a cig or watching any of the 40 or so high-def plasma TVs. Worth a try: veggie burrito ($5.45) or the grilled garlic shrimp taco ($3.25). (Brian Quines)
