In the early 70s, I played in my high school band at the opening of this once grand theatre I saw a place with crystal chandeliers in the lobby and the service could not be matched. For years, this theatre served the community with pride in providing great family entertainment....but, In my personal opinion, no longer.
Age of the building has nothing at all to do with the service. I say, great service, good clientele. Bad service, bad clientele.
I am now a grandmother and always took my grandkids to this theatre, though is was not my favorite theatre. BUT, no longer do I go to this theatre after they quit taking my employer's Corporate discount tickets on a Saturday night during the evening shows.

Here are the good and bad aspects of this theater in my opinion.
Good: Has the latest movies.
Bad: The help is very unthrilled to help you. Don't expect any smiles or thank yous.
Good: Lot's of parking close to the theater.
Bad: The concession stand help is the worst. I once had a young man comb his hair with his hands, wipe his nose with his fingers, and tuck in his shirt in front of me, then wanted to handle my food. No thanks.
Good: Usually small lines.
Bad: The place has turned into a gangster hangout. There are lots of "thug" types that frequent the theater. To help cut down on the concerns, the local Sheriff's Department leaves a squad car out front during the evenings and weekends. Not sure that makes me feel better.
Good: It's local.
Bad: The concession stand areas may or may not be clean.
Good: Lots of things in the area to do if you are waiting for a movie.
Bad: Sometimes, especially during the late night showings, gangs of kids will come in and talk and yell as if it was their private club.
Good: I ran out of good things to say about this theater.
Bad: Management has a bad attitude in making poor situations better.
I've been going to this theater for 30 years and in the past 6-7 years, in my opinion, it's taken a real nosedive. The front concession stand sits abandoned, the arcade is filled with old and broken games, and many of the decorations have been removed. Worth $25.00 for a ticket and snacks...I don't think so.
