Lakewood Artist Guild Presents: Woodturning artist Joe Devinny

Woodturning—the action of shaping wood with a lathe—was Joe Devinny’s first artistic pursuit, beginning thirty years ago. He conceives and designs complex wooden objects in three dimensions. He began painting when he decided to use acrylic paints to decorate his turned wooden plates. Devinny’s choice of subjects is heavily influenced by his long-standing concern for the environment.
