Baja Sharkeez

With its faux-thatched roof, bar stools and plenty of TV screens inside and out, Sharkeez's fun, hokey beach bar vibe isn't exactly unique -- but that's besides the point. The point is to have a good time, and Sharkeez excels in that department. Drink specials galore make it the perfect place for 20-somethings and wannabe-20-somethings to hang out, while families can sit together and have a reasonably priced mexican meal in the super-cushy booths.

"Tapas Hour" Monday through Friday from 3 to 6:30 p.m. features, among other things, two-buck mini burgers and three-buck Jell-O shots. "Taco Tuesdays" are as notable for their $1.75 mesquite chicken tacos as they are for their $2.75 Great White margaritas. While it's nice that Sharkeez has outdoor seating, it's not exactly on prime real estate -- you'll be eating your meal overlooking the parking lot.
