Autograph

Autograph was formed in 1983 by Steve Plunkett. and was active from 1983-1989 and then was on hiatus till 2002 for another 3 yrs. Their initial hit was,"Turn Up the Radio". They opened up for Van Halen in 1984 invited by David Lee Roth who first heard their demo. Autograph signed a recording contract with RCA in 1985 in which they released their first hit single, "Turn up the Radio" which led to their first album achieving gold status.They left RCA in 1989 because of poor support.
The group has made appearances with the likes of Ozzy Ozbourne, Vince Neil from Motley Crue. They made a cameo appearance in a movie with Dudley Moore and Kirk Cameron, "Like Father Like Son". Autograph also appeared on MTV's Headbangers Ball.
