Grammy Award® Winner George Denis Patrick Carlin (May 12, 1937 – June 22, 2008) was an extremely well known stand-up comedian, actor and author, mainly noted for his black humor, also his political views, religion, psychology and other various subjects. Carlin filmed his first stand-up comedy HBO Special in 1977 13 more would follow, his final HBO special “It’s Bad for Ya” was filmed less than four months before his death. Carlin placed second on the list of Comedy Central’s 100 greatest stand-up comedians ahead of both Lenny Bruce and Richard Pryor in 2004, today he holds second place.
