Straight out of Brooklyn comes EPMD, an acronym for "Erick and Parrish Making Dollars" or "Erick and Parrish Millennium Ducats", a hip-hop group composed of emcees Erick Sermon ("E") and Parish Smith ("PMD"). With over twenty years of hip-hop experience they have risen to become one of the most well known and longest lasting east coast hip-hop groups.
Basing their music off of funk and rock samples they created one of the most influential albums of the 80's era of hip-hop with the release of "Strictly Business" (and single of the same title) in 1988.
The duo split up in 1993 but regrouped in 1997 with their comeback LP "Back in Business" and has continuously toured the United States as a group since then.
