Ma Ru Yu
I stumbled upon this gem on opening day and met the owner, Myumi (she is a very nice lady). The food was so great, I've gone many times, taking friends and family to dine with me. My favorite dish is the extra spicy shoyu ramen with sides of steamed rice and shu mai. The
chicken teriyaki also has an excellent presentation. Kimchi ramen is also excellent. I absolutely love that Myumi cooks with no MSG or any artificial ingredients - she also imports many items from Japan. Please stop by and give it try - I promise you won't be disappointed! PS - If you are bad a using chopsticks like me, use a few more napkins - it's well worth the experience. Thanks.

There's a saying that one eats with their eyes first – so when I encountered a bowl of murky ramen at Ma Ru Yu in Santa Ana, there was a bit of trepidation. The sludgelike broth looked like it was made from two parts swamp water and one part coffee grounds. (Full review)
