My new favorite sliders are the simply perfect ones served up in the bar at The Winery restaurant in The District center, Tustin: Juicy little burgers each topped with sauteed mushrooms and a dollop of gooey Brie. (Full review)

Sometimes I get the feeling that O.C. has a handful of truly great restaurants, and then a large margin of just so-so upscale places that seem to keep their doors open on the fact that they’re just good enough to get by. When I heard that The Winery Restaurant & Bar was opening at The District in Tustin, I immediately thought it would fall under that category; a ho-hum place planted in a shopping center because the fine-dining quota needed to be filled. Kevin the manager in the boy's room

I have been to many fine restaurants, but haven't seen such thing ever!! Found the Winery according to OC register's recommendation, booked Brunch for a group of my family being one of the four moms,my brothers went to check on the boys who were in the restroom, finds MANAGER KEVIN standing and the boys on their hands and knees wiping the restroom floor, otherwise he would tell the parents that they were playing with wet toilet paper!!! Watch out!!

Good food, but a bit pricy

This is a very nice restaurant and the servers are the best. The food is excellent, but a bit on the pricy side. The atmosphere is very up scale. I would recommend this restaurant for a speical occassion or a romantic dinner.

Disappointed

Nice atmosphere but looks like any other wine bar in OC. Poor service - it took a long time for someone to take our order. Also, I asked if I could add a few slices of chicken to a salad and the waitress looked at me like I was crazy. When the bill came, I was charged $13 for chicken on a $9 salad. The waitress did not tell me that it would cost an extra $13 to add chicken.

I will not be returning to this restaurant ever again.

Best restaurant in OC hands down!

I've eaten at some pretty great places in Orange County. Five Crowns, Ruth's Chris, Gulfstream, Gulliver's, Riviera, and Mortons. I couldn't care less about those other places now that I have found The Winery. First of all, the name says it: they have an amazing wine selection. But the food is exceptional. I've had pretty much everything on the menu now. The bone-in filet so good, the short ribs are fantastic, the scallops are delicious, and the lamb- phenominal. But the best dish by far is the Duck 2 ways. I love the variety. You have to try it. FIVE STARS!!!
